How to get from Narita Airport to Tokyo?
Narita is one of the two largest airports in the Japanese capital Tokyo. It services both domestic and international flights, but mainly international ones. Narita Airport (international designation NRT) is located 75 km east of the center of Greater Tokyo, in Chiba Prefecture. Japan is famous for the excellent state of its communications, and it is possible to get from Narita Airport to Tokyo by train, bus and taxi.
Two types of trains run from Narita Airport to Tokyo: Narita Express (N’EX) and Keisei Skyliner.
Narita Express (N’EX) trains run approximately twice an hour, connecting the airport with Tokyo Station. The trip takes just under an hour. Tickets for this train can be purchased at the JR ticket office on the underground floor of the airport below the arrivals hall. The trip is free with the Japan Rail Pass.

If the traveler is heading to the northern part of Tokyo, Keisei Skyliner trains are more suitable for him: it takes about 40 minutes to get to Nippori or Ueno stations. There you can transfer to the Yamanote Central Tokyo Circle Line.
Traveling to Tokyo from the airport by train is not suitable for travelers with bulky luggage, or for those staying in hotels located far from the stations. There is nothing more unpleasant than getting lost in an unfamiliar city, especially one as big and complex as Tokyo.
Near the airport terminals, Keisei and Airport Limousine buses depart approximately every twenty minutes. They are convenient if the traveler has a lot of luggage, but their routes are not suitable for every traveler.
